The unique aluminum wedge shaped oil pan is the lightest powerglide oil pan ever made at 2 lbs.
The wedge shape is a one piece hydroformed design that allows for two extra quarts of oil capacity without sacrificing ground clearance and enables the use of flat chassis floor finishing. The seamless construction with a reinforced pan rail minimizes distortion and eliminates leaks and cracks, while the rearward mounted oil pickup ensures proper oil supply during hard acceleration. ORB #6 plugs are provided for the 3 ports ,oil drain and 2 potential oil returns or feeds for between rounds pit cooling units and/or dump valves. A 1/8″ NPT port is also included for a temp sending devices.
This is designed and sold as a complete kit with everything needed to install on traditional Powerglide style valve bodies that use the stock style 2 bolt oil filter only. If your valve body uses any other filter type, this kit is not compatible.
